Members

When members join the website we collect the data shown in the profile form, and also the visitor’s IP address to help enforce security. Any reviews left on the site are also linked to member’s accounts to help prevent abuse or spam.

If you register as a PT (Personal Trainer) then some of your details are displayed to any member searching for a PT. Other details you enter, such as contact information for potential clients, will be shared with those who unlock that information so they can initiate contact with you. You must ensure your information is kept up-to-date. Whenever you update your profile there will be a delay before it is made live as it is checked by a PETEY administrator.

If you are a user looking for a PT (Personal Trainer) and use a credit to unlock the contact details of a personal trainer, you will be shown the contact information that they want shared. PETEY purely provide the initial contact information between PT’s and potential clients. Unlocking contact information is no guarantee that the PT will be available to provide any training sessions for you. In the event of any disagreements or disputes, you need to contact the PT first to try and resolve the issue. PETEY or it’s staff cannot be held responsible for the information provided by personal trainers. Please check any qualifications or other details that are important with the PT.

Rules of Submitting Information

If you want to be listed as a PT (Personal Trainer) then you must provide truthful and honest information. This includes your related qualifications and your own contact details. Do not enter any contact information or your full name in any fields other than where it is asked for or your profile will not be published.

If you are leaving a review for a PT (Personal Trainer), it must be honest and based on your own real experience. We reserve the right to remove any reviews which are not completely true or are not beneficial to other potential clients.

Repeated misuse of the system or anything which could damage the reputation of either the website (PETEY) or a Personal Trainer can result in your account being banned. If this happens, there will be no refund for unused listing time or contact unlock credits.

Media

If you upload a profile photo to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Although images are processed to make them quicker to download, it may be possible for visitors of the website to download and extract any location data from images.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will set up a cookie to save your login session information required for the system to work. Login cookies usually last until you close your browser or log out of your account. If you let your browser remember your login credentials (not recommended on a shared device) then your browser will determine how long this information is kept.

Server Logs & Security

We log access to our website (just like all web servers do) in order to monitor usage, server load, help diagnose any issues and to monitor security. All communication between the visitor and our website is over a secure, 256 bit encrypted HTTPS connection which passes SSL security tests to prevent interception.

Who we share your data with

We do not share any member information with anyone outside of PETEY and it’s web development team. The only exception is the details that personal trainers allow to be shared with users searching or unlocking their contact details. By creating an account on the website you give permission for this information to be shared with those other users. This includes if you leave a review for a personal trainer where your first-name/nickname will be displayed alongside your review.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile along with any orders and reviews they make. All users can see and edit their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information. We are obliged to keep all details entered for as long as necessary for administrative, legal, or security purposes. You can request to have your account removed/disabled.

Payment Processing

We use Stripe to take and process payments from customers. This way, we do not collect any payment details ourselves and never have access to your bank card or bank account details. When you click to make a purchase on this website, you are agreeing to Stripe processing the payment and collecting the relevant information. All purchases on the site are non-refundable but if you have any questions or have made a payment in error, please get in touch using the contact form and we will do our best to help you.

Although payment processing is usually immediate, sometimes there are bank processing delays which are outside of our control. This can occasionally mean that credits or listing time can take a short while to appear in your PETEY account. As soon as Stripe are able to confirm the payment process has completed, your purchase will appear instantly in your account.
